Help me find this toy I had as a kid!

Help me find this toy I had when I was a kid.

It was made of plastic, connectible parts and came in different length loops. The pieces were cubic with a little tail that allowed you to bend them at right angles to one another, and they would make a satisfying little 'click' sound when you did. Sometimes in stores you'd see one that had a snake's head and tail at each end instead of being in a loop. Any ideas? I don't have even an inkling of what it was called and I'd love to get my hands on one!

Best answer: Ooooh I think I know exactly what you're talking about- they were usually alternating neon colors and you could make cool shapes with them? Numerous combinations of google terms got me this tiny picture from a sketchy website that does not appear to actually sell them. Is that what you're talking about?

Response by poster: MadamM, that's it! Hopefully with that picture someone will know what they're called. Thanks!

These Klixx toys look really similar to the picture MadamM found.

Aha! A better site, with them actually on sale. Sorry for the UK link, I'm searching from the UK but I owned like ten of these when I was a kid in the mid-late 90s.

I'm pretty sure the Klixx toys are exactly what I had- that company is even based in my hometown. I haven't thought of them in years but now, of course, I desperately want one to fidget with!

Response by poster: Oh, I'm so pleased. I ordered a few, can't wait for them to arrive! At long last, my hands will have something to do on the bus!

I'm glad you found your answer! I thought you meant a Rubik's Twist--another manipulative that's satisfying. As a kid, I had several and hope they're still in my parents' attic somewhere...
