Looking for recommendations for a psychopharmacologist in central NJ.

I've read enough AskMe threads to know that for many things, the answers are therapy, and appropriate pharmaceuticals. So. Looking to find someone to work with on my depression and ADD. It's a psychopharmacologist I want, right? Someone who prescribes and does therapy? Ideally, they accept Blue Cross/Blue Shield; it'll be expensive to go out of network. I gravitate towards earth mother types, but don't mind a kick in the butt now and then either. They should be Somerset/Hunterdon/Middlesex counties. I am an adult female in my 40s who has previously been treated for both ADD and depression. Hopefully that should be enough to go on. I've reached out to some local friends, but the one recommendation was out of network, and I'm looking for more than a list of strangers from the insurance company. This request doesn't exactly make a good Facebook status update...

Help me to help me, please. Thanks!

okay, step 1 down...

You want a psychiatrist. Psychopharmacologist is likely too specific a term.

I don't have any recommendations though.

Yeah, a psychopharmacologist is a researcher who studies psych meds.

Although you don't necessarily need a psychiatrist - certain types of advance practice nurse can also write scrips for mental health medications. (In a few states, psychologists can, too, but I think NJ isn't one of them.)

I don't have specific recommendations, but there are some useful comments about the how-tos in this thread.
