Where can I attain the Ballmer Peak in SF?

Is there such a thing as a laptop-friendly sports bar in SF?

I'm looking for a place to watch an NFL playoff game tomorrow while getting some work done on the laptop. I know it's a weird request, but I wouldn't be surprised to learn that there is a place like this. WiFi nice, but not required (yay tethering).

Best answer: Hotel bars! Especially the Marriott at Mission and 4th. It has a very cozy lounge area just behind the bar with free WiFi, flatscreens and power outlets aplenty, and semiprivate booths (I'm not 100% positive they'll let you take drinks back there, though). The Embarcadero Hyatt is another possibility; they often show games on the projector screen above the bar, and it's visible throughout the atrium.

Best answer: Pete's Tavern, Pedro's Cantina, Buck Tavern, and Underdogs all come to mind.

I don't think I've ever been in Pete's Tavern when there wasn't someone on a laptop.

Yup, hotel bars. I'm partial to Maxfield's at the Palace. A handful of televisions, but mostly quiet and definitely work-conducive.
