Song ID filter: What plays at 1:04 and again at the very end in this trailer for Carlos?
Response by poster: Thanks for the suggestions, but it's not either of those. Wire's "Ahead" is used in between the two usages of the song I'm asking about, and New Order's "Dreams Never End" is in the movie, but not the trailer.

Best answer: That version of Wire's "Ahead" and the song in question - which sounds a bit like New Order's "Dreams Never End" - both sound like quasi remakes of those tunes, not the tunes themselves. Often, filmmakers cannot get rights to use songs licensed in movies in commercials or trailers for the movies, so they "remake" them. Technically, these are not cover versions, because they are different enough to be considered different compositions, but similar enough that anyone familiar with the "real" songs would recognize them as close siblings. I suspect that's the case here.
