Mozilla Firefox toolbar to play mp3 (*.pls) webradio?

Hi all,

after enjoying this site for a while now, I hope you can help me with my first question. It's about webradio, which I like to play and control during browsing in Firefox. The stations use the mp3 ".pls" format, which I play using Winamp, which has the Winamp AOL Toolbar, which I don't like. It lacks some controls (volume, browsing through stations), takes a lot of space with unneeded, bloaty AOL links and has the unremovable Winamp Search bar, which is completely redundant as Firefox already has the normal search bar for Google or any other search engine you'd ever want. It really beats me what anyone would need it for.

So, do you know a smaller, less bloaty, more tweakable solution for Firefox with which I can play and control the same collection of .pls radiostations I now have in Winamp?

Thanks all!!

Best answer: FoxyTunes will install in Firefox and control a variety of players.

Sorry for the double post, but I should have mentioned that Foxytunes supports .pls. You would open the stream in your player of choice and once it's playing, you can control it in Firefox.
