How to turn old clothes into new clothes

I enjoy sites like love maegan, Welcome to the gOOd life, and PS I Made This, where they show how to cheaply re-create fashion magazine looks. Are there more bloggers who re-make things like this?

Fab Finds Under $50 does some great DIYs.

Adventures in Dressmaking and Grosgrain Fabulous do this a lot, mostly in the form of sewing clothing that resembles stuff in the Anthropologie catalog.

If you're less into sewing, Honestly WTF has some interesting accessory tutorials. I'm super into this kind of thing, so I'll see if I can think of any more.

This might not be exactly what you are looking for, but check out New Dress a Day. She takes a thrift store find and converts it into something more fashionable and wearable.

Caveat: I'm not sure *everything* she does looks fabulous, but sometimes it's just genius, and sometimes she indicates being inspired by a particular runway look.

To piggyback on Ivanshima, the gal at New Dress A Day just announced that she'll be doing a weekly (or maybe monthly?) attempt at copying the hottest fashion/celebrity looks.

The lady at VeryPurplePerson does a lot of sewing, especially taking old or thrifted clothes and turning them into new things. She has everything from dresses to bags, and even does some mens and kids stuff for her family.
