Where to get a room at the WEF Davos?

Where could I book a room close to Davos, Switzerland, between the 25th and 29th, January 2011?

My father is going to the World Economic Forum in Davos. He has a hotel room reserved, but in a town far away from the conference, which would involve him driving a long way every day (in the snow) to attend. I'm trying to find him something closer, maybe in a bed and breakfast or a private room in one of the surrounding towns (such as Klosters or Schiers). The problem is that, predictably, almost everything that has an internet webpage has been taken (he's also not an official guest, so he can't deal with the forum's official booking agency which monopolizes the space). I would greatly appreciate any suggestions, especially ones with phone numbers, of places where he could stay.

Why does he have to drive? Public transportation is unbelievably good here. Davos will be a mess for drivers, especially for parking.

I think a good thing to do is to look for a room in Landquart, which is about one hour's train ride away. Unfortunately, everything closer seems to be taken. But from Landquart, he won't have to change trains, but just sit in one train until he's there.

Sorry, no phone numbers or specifics, but Landquart is significantly larger than Schiers and Klosters. So there should be more rooms.

If you are able to find a room in Schiers or Klosters, he can still take the same train and not have to drive.

Response by poster: We're trying airbnb dobbs, thanks.

copperbleu, the problem with the trains is that service ends at 10 pm most nights and several of the events go latter than that. Traffic isn't as much of a problem as you'd think; my father has gone on other occasions and he leaves his car all day in a giant car park.
