Replacement for our Humpty-Dumpty-esque Bookchairs?

Is there a more durable equivalent of the Bookchair that I could get my sister for Christmas? Right now, our home is littered with bookchairs that fell to the ground and broke in a pretty permanent way. And that's awfully tiring. The key component is the fact that the page holder "tabs" can adjust for either very thick or (somewhat) thin books, so that's vital in any replacement. I'm in Canada.
I don't think these will meet the page holder tab requirement, but they do offer solidity:

I apologize in advance for the site's sexism.
I found it by googling 'shtender', which is the yiddish word for this type of thing. You can find more products by googling that.

Response by poster: Yeah, but most shtenders (and oh how many I have seen in person) tend not to hold books open, tend to be overly ornate and/or decorated with things to which my sister won't relate (she ain't big on the Hebrew or Torah scrolls), and tend to be surprisingly heavy.
They are solid, I'll give you that.

Levenger also has this one, with an adjustable whole front pane thing (not tabs, but a big bar).

Cookbook holders are available in myriad stores.
I've been using a Levenger bookweight for about 20 years; I believe you can get an equivalent item cheaper at B&N. I keep mine in my car.
The Pagekeeper has worked quite well for me for the last 2 books I've read.
