Can I get a total players online count?

Are there sites which track the number of players in different online games?

Today I was trying to find a website that tracked the number of people in different games. I was trying to find out the difference in daily numbers between Heroes of Newerth and League of Lengends, but honestly I'd really be interested in a general site where I could compare other games too. I've tried to search for this but I can't seem to come up with search terms that don't give me information about specific player statistics or whatnot.

Does anyone know of anything like what I am looking for? I'd really appreciate it.

It doesn't include your games, but Steam has their stats online with current count and daily highs (Steam games only).

Check a look at the charts on the left column of this page. You can see total subscriptions as well as peak concurrent users.

mmogchart.com used to be a great source, but it looks like they haven't updated in a couple of years.

Bungie keeps real-time statistics for their most recent titles, including player counts for individual playlists and world maps showing recently-played games: Halo Reach, Halo 3/ODST. For instance, there are 122,826 online in Reach right now.

Keep in mind that some of the games that Steam tracks are not played online exclusively through Steam.

For example, the first Modern Warfare number only reflects those playing online via Steam... these people purchased the game through Steam. The number does not include those playing retail copies online, unassociated with Steam. This is only an issue for some third party games though, those numbers are accurate for a portion of third party games and all Valve games.
