my google calendar/blackberry sync has gone crazy! details inside

i sync my google calendar to my blackberry using google sync. i also share my husband's calendar and subscribe to a few holiday calendars. recently, my google calendar started copying everything in all of the calendars i subscribe to (not my own) into my own calendar 100s of times! how do i stop this? and is there a way to delete these multiples not one-by-one?

Best answer: I had a similar problem with Google sync and my contacts. I have about 1700 contacts in my Google account. One day I looked for a name and there were about 11 of them. 11 of almost all (but not all) of the 1700 contacts. It was reverberating back to my gmail account. That was getting dupes too. It was a fast growing vicious circle from which I had to fight to stop it from growing. The only solution I came up with was to first turn off automatic sync and go manual. Then I deleted the entire contacts from my blackberry. I then went to my gmail account and merged or deleted all the dupes. I then backed up my gmail account contacts by downloading them to a csv file. (In gmail, in the settings, there is a way to export your contacts.) I then manually synced my contacts back to my blackberry. I still keep it on manual sync and do a sync once every two weeks or so.

I am unable to recreate what I did to delete them all at once, but I know I was able to. It may have even been either a complete reset of the my blackberry (storm 1) or I went to Verizon store (my carrier) and asked them how. I am a little blurry because my blackberry borked around the same time and VZ gave me a new one.

I imagine with calendar there was some sort of glitch. Delete all the entries and resync is my best advice.
