Purchasing a Galaxy Tab in SIN

Is the Galaxy Tab being sold at retail stores in Singapore without a contract?
If so, where can I find it (Sim Lim Square?) and at what price? I heard it was being sold by SingTel for SGD1,000 starting November 13, but looking on ST's website for sales information proved fruitless.

Response by poster: Thanks, hellopanda. I'll have a look around when I'm there this weekend and see what I can find.

Response by poster: So I looked around Sim Lim Square and Funan Centre, but the only place I saw the Galaxy Tab was at SingTel and Samsung outlets at the SGD1,000 MSRP. Maybe it was just me, but I wasn't all that impressed by the offerings or prices from stores in either building.

armage, I'm not sure when you were in town, but we just had a huge IT/electronics sales expo from the 25th to the 28th. If the dates coincided with your visit, then that might explain why the scene at both buildings seemed a little muted. In any case, sorry to hear about your fruitless hunt here.

Response by poster: I was there on the 20th, so I missed the expo. It's no big deal, though -- thanks again for the help.

You might be better off trying the list of shops on Samsung's website. Funan Centre likely has the highest concentration of shops where you can buy the Tab. I'd also recommend checking with the Samsung flagship store at VivoCity.
