Looking for work with lots of experience and not many credentials

re-entering the job market after 13 years. the difficulty in finding advice: not in management or a professional position.

I've read this question from earlier this year, which has been helpful but only slightly. I've been working in call centers and support positions for the past 13 years and don't know what else to do or what to look for in other jobs. I have 7 months to search so I'm not into panic mode...yet.

Most of the job-hunting advice I've seen here at MeFi is for professionals or managers, college students entering the job market, or people looking for retail jobs. I can definitely find and apply for retail jobs. I just don't know where to look for jobs or for what jobs I may qualify. I do have a two-year degree.

I'm not sure exactly what you are asking. Are you looking for what sort of non-call center jobs you might be qualified for? You say "re-entering the job market" but then you say you've been working for the last 13 years. Can you please clarify?

Response by poster: I haven't been looking for a job in the past 13 years because I had one--sorry for the lack of clarity. I'm definitely looking for other types of jobs I may be qualified for.

Okay, in what? What skills do you have? If you give more details about the KIND of jobs you might be able to handle, we can give you the advice you need.
