Question: old shareware game

I'm trying to find information on and/or a copy of an early/mid 80s shareware game called (I think) Flight. Does anyone remember it?

At the start of the game you had an airfield of purple (CGA!) biplanes on the right of the screen. On the left of the screen were slowly (less and less so as the game went on) advancing groups of bad guys on 1. Motorcycles, 2. Trucks or 3. Biplanes.

Between you and them were cities that you had to defend by attacking the Motorcycles, Trucks and Biplanes. If a Motorcycle or Truck sprite reached a city, it would be destroyed. Bad guy airplanes couldn't destroy cities. For every level passed you'd get a new city. If all your cities were destroyed, you loose. If you destroyed all the trucks and motorcycles, a final missile would appear that you had to destroy.

When you attacked a group of bad guys, you'd enter a "combat mode" where you could control your plan on a split screen X/Y axis. During the combat mode there'd be random quotes from the game makers, one of which was "Win One for The Gipper".

Every few months I remember this game and google about the abandonware sites for it but can't find anything. Does anyone remember this game, and more importantly, does anyone have a copy?

Nope, wasn't Sopwith, although it sounds similar (looks very different though) and Anthill isn't interested in it.

Stratastar, even if you found your disk it wouldn't help, my 386 only has a 5.25 drive (-;

Sounds like Flightmare to me -- I especially remember the Gipper quote, too.

wow. why can't they make games like that anymore?

we need more limitations on game makers.

tie a hand behind their back or something.
