Help Me Find These Items!

Treasure Hunt: Help me find a beautiful vintage dress for my mom, and this half-remembered video game that I played when I was little!

So my google-fu is just failing spectacularly for these two items and I really need your help to find them.

The first thing I'm looking for is this computer game I played back in about 1995/1996. It was probably for an early Windows OS or possibly even DOS. The premise was that you were a private eye in training and you were on a mission to solve some kind of Egyptian mystery. I remember that at the start of the game your character was standing on the steps of the Metropolitan Museum (I'm pretty sure the whole story was set in NYC), and you're approached by someone who needs you to figure out a crime or a problem. You end up back in your office where you have to locate a key or an ankh underneath somewhere on your desk. I remember that the colors were nice and bright and that the overall aesthetic was quasi-photo-real illustrations. Anyone have any idea what I'm thinking of? I never got past the key part. :(

I'm also looking for a dress that looks something like this for my mother. I know that the picture was taken in about the 1930s/40s, but for the life of me I can't seem to figure out what kind of dress it is so I can go searching for it. My mom would need it in a size large and hopefully in cotton. Anyone know where I could find something like it? I'd be willing to have it custom made if I could figure out how to describe it.

The game you are looking for *might* be Laura Bow: The Dagger of Amon Ra.

What elements of the dress are you trying to reproduce, the cut or the print or both? A search for "40s floral dress" turned up this and this (wrong size, but similar print) - that may be one approach, or you could find a shape that you like and then have it custom-made in the right size and print.
