I'm trying to locate a special necklace my wife once had. It was purchased in downtown Colorado Springs and I believe it was crafted at that store. I don't have the name of the store, but I think they went out of business. Here's a quick drawn mock up. Do you know where I can find a pendant like this?

Etsy Alchemy is probably your best bet.

That's clever as hell. It's a mixture of all the letters of the alphabet so you can tell the person you give it to that it was specially made to represent some specific word?

Response by poster: Thanks, Ery. That's very close. I like having that as an option, though I don't think I can swing another gold one given the cost these days.

I'm still looking for one more like the design in the graphic.

I had one of these in the 1970s. The way it was explained to me, you could get all of the letters of I LOVE YOU. If you ever find one, let me know where. I'd love to get one.

Response by poster: WyoWhy, That's exactly right. If I find one, or someone to make them at a reasonable price, I'll post here.

I also came across the Meridane site that Ery found, and their story behind the symbol fits your story, and the business (from other bits and pieces of Googling) seems to be in Colorado. Is is possible that it was an early prototype, sold locally? Or maybe a local store made a similar pendant?

I'm pretty sure I saw the original design a decade or two ago, with a slightly different shape, in mail-order catalogs, such as Signals or Wireless, but they no longer carry it. The Meridane one is the only one I can find now.
