release liner for surgical tape?

Good Evening! I'm looking for a release liner (similar to the peel off liners that go on the back of band-aids or gift bows) that would stick to the adhesive side of a piece of 2" x 2" surgical tape. Do you have any suggestions as to what type I should use, and if so, where I might purchase it? Thanks much!

Wax paper works well

... or oven paper/silicone baking paper (the slick side).
