What's the outlook for the legal profession in Canada? Is going to law school in Canada as dire a choice as it seems to be in the US?
Calling all Canadian lawyers and law students: what's the outlook for the profession like? Is it as bad as this? Or has the downturn not affected the profession in the same way?
I'm a Canadian citizen living in the US, but I'm applying to Canadian law schools because I like the idea of less debt -- and therefore less obligation -- than going to law school in the US, especially if I'm being realistic about the kinds of pay scales that await me.
If you're in Canada, would you grab me by the lapels and breathe heavily in my face as your rant about why this is a bad idea? If not, why not? Discuss.
