Suggest me a low-cost bar PoS and stock tracking system!

Bar PoS terminal and stock management software recommendations?
I'm overseeing the re-launch of a bar in a university hall of residence. I'm trying to find software or a complete system that will:
*act as a sales terminal
*track stock in bar and store room
*(desirable) help manage bar finance
Any recommendations? I could set up software on a computer or could buy in a complete system (<£500?), or if anyone knows of free or open source software I'd love to hear about it!
