Help remebering a TV show name

Does anyone remember the name of the miniseries about a family of Mexican drug lords? It was on in the early part of the decade, 2002 maybe. Six episodes. Perhaps with Lou Diamond Phillips (although his IMDB page has nothing about it.) Specifically I'm looking for the theme, an instrumental perhaps by Calexico, (again nothing on their website about it.)

Response by poster: Definitely Kingpin.

The wikipedia page says Mas by Kinky was used is ads for the show, I don't remember that song as the theme.

The IMDB full cast and crew listing credits "Original Music by Daniel Indart". The last.fm bio for Daniel Indart specifically credits him with the theme from Kingpin. I'm not having any luck finding audio of the theme, but hopefully this will help.

The website for Daniel Inart shows the opening credit with his theme. I'm beginning to suspect I've got some false memory syndrome, and that's why I can't find any answers, becuase I swear it was a soaring trumpet piece by Calexico tinged with mariachi.

Searching Itunes library I see I thought it was El Picador off Hot Rail.
