Stanley Park Design Layout

Where can I find detailed Blueprint/ Design Layouts for various urban parks? Bonus: Stanley Park, Vancouver.

I'm trying to find slope grades, tree types, materials used in construction, etc.

You might try the City of Vancouver Archives. They have an extensive collection and very helpful staff.

You could also try the Vancouver Museum. If they don't have them, they'll know where to find them.

Check out this UBC MA thesis, tons of park plans in it and lots about Stanley Park - there is a 1911 map of Stanley park and maybe more.

Title: The evolution of urban public park design in Europe and America : Vancouver adaption to 1913
Author: Hinds, Diane Beverley

The link takes you to a page where you can download a large PDF. If it stalls, try again, and again: UBC dspace is really buggy for downloads.

It may not really be useful for you as it comes from a landscape architecture perspective, but who knows.

There are a few sets of Park data available in the Vancouver Open Data Catalogue. Not sure if that covers at least some of the information you're looking for.
