windows recorder

Windows training and support, how do I record windows to show other people what I did while in windows? (free or cheap preferred!) I want to be able to do training demos AND have users show me how they caused a bug to surface. (two different applications, same idea -- more below)
I want users to send a "how to do this bug" video showing the steps they took to create the bug (not a trace/debug etc) to me.
I am also looking for a program to use for training purposes that record windows and shows "how to do it". I assume each user will make this full screen so they can view everything while they are watching this. I would want to be able to have audio capability so the trainer could include instructions as they are demonstrating it.
Any suggestions for either or both? I like free, cheap is good but money could be spent if necessary!
Thanks in advance! (UNIX has spoiled me!!)

Best answer: Sounds like maybe you need CamStudio.
Otherwise GoToMeeting , WebEx or something similar can record a screen sharing session with voice-over. They probably have free trials.

You could use Wink which is mostly for recording demonstrations. You could probably use it for the other purpose as well.

This is a technique called "screencasting." This link is a bit dated, but gives options nonetheless:

Jing is the lightweight, free version of Camtasia from Techsmith. It will record video with audio and is pretty easy to learn.

I can't recommend BB flashback Express enough. It's free and let's you create beautiful screencasts of your entire screen or any part of it.

As far as you recording for training purposes? Look into HyperCam.
