How can I tell if my Kindle v2 will work internationally?

I'm selling my Kindle v2 for a v3. A friend of mine wants to buy it, but he wants to know if it's the version that will work internationally (he travels a lot). I honestly didn't know there was such a thing...

Is there a part number of something in the software that will say if my Kindle v2 with 3G will work internationally?

Looks like there's two versions of v2:

Kindle 2 (White)
February 23, 2009

Kindle 2- International (White)
October 19, 2009

(from http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amazon_Kindle)

When did you buy yours?

When I downloaded the latest software update for the DX, there were two different versions depending on whether it was the international DX or not. The serial numbers started with different numbers. I don't know if the same thing applies to the Kindle 2, or where you'd find that information.

My dealings with Kindle support have been great, so you could always call them and ask.
