In search of a non-sucky conference phone

Looking for a conference phone with individual mute/mic/headphone for 10+ participants

I've tried googling everything I can think of, but I can't find what I'm looking for. I'm sick of conference phones that sound like everyone is shouting into a metal trash can while banging around the inside with a metal instrument.

FWIW, my office has a (supposedly) decent conference phone from Polycom, but every time I'm on the receiving end of a call, it's horrendous. Getting everyone in the room to not ruffle their papers, and have side conversations is impossible...I've tried!

The thought came to my mind that is would be much better if there was a phone that had individual wired or wireless headsets that had individual mute switches that would interface with a base unit. The base unit would then interface with the POTS line.

I'd like to add that it's definitely the case that each person is likely to need to speak at some point during the call, so having a 'presenter' situation will not work well.

Does something like this exist?
