Reinstall single font

The very standard Courier font has disappeared from my Mac OSX 10.5.8 system.

Is there some way to reinstall just this font without reinstalling the system? The font is only available for sale, and I can't access my font book on my back up, as my external hard drive seems to have died. Sigh.

Thanks.

Best answer: You can use the program Pacifist to extract the Courier font files from your OS X install disc. Then install it like you would any other font.

Or you could ask a friend who is on the same version of OS X to email it to you?

You can find it on anyone else's OS X install in System/Library/Fonts/Courier.dfont. If you don't have an OS X buddy around, feel free to memail me.

Response by poster: Thanks all. I followed jedicus's advice and used Pacifist. Very easy.
