How do I attach the social network to the personal contact?

AndroidFilter: How do I link certain contacts in my contactbook to their Facebook profiles or Twitter pages... when the names don't match?

There are a few people on my contact list who use either alternate names, or don't use their full names at all, on social networking sites.
But because their names don't match up to their contact details on my contact list, their Facebook profiles or Twitter accounts won't sync up.

Can I manually attach a Facebook profile or Twitter page to a contact's details?

(I am on a Nexus One running Froyo unmolested.)

Best answer: If you edit a contact, push the menu button, and select Join it will let you manually attach a social networking contact to the phone contact.
