Wedding venue in PA?

Halp! frazzled by looking for reasonable wedding locations in southeast PA...need some suggestions!

I am all googled out, and theknot.com's venue location is apparently no longer functioning. I am looking for something gardeny/woodsy, i'm a nature girl, but with a nice inside option in case of weather, but nothing like a regular cafeteria type hall place. trying to keep the budget under 10k, and we are looking to accommodate a max of 85 people comfortably. I have also looking at weddingwire.com too.

Venues i have already seen - Faunbrook Inn, Pennsbury, The Stone Barn, Appleford, Meredith Manor, Fonthill, Cabrini.

The more suggestions the better! my stress level is through the roof with this venue search.

Have you checked out the Brandywine River Museum? Lovely setting and, at least according to the contact page, they do receptions.

A family member was happy with Aldie Mansion (although the wedding was some time ago).

Perhaps the Pearl S. Buck estate?

What about the Riverdale Manor? Not sure about cost, but it was beautiful last year when we attended a wedding there.

OMG, a wedding at Fonthill would be so cool!

I was at a wedding at Aldie Mansion a couple years ago, and it was beautiful. Lots of nice outdoor areas, with the ceremony outside in the garden, and the cocktail hour and reception indoors were also nice.

The Willows has beautiful grounds and a mansion, though I've never been inside.

What about the Center Bridge Inn? Never went to a wedding there, so I can't vouch, but New Hope is exactly what you are looking for! Though, I don't know the difference between $$ and $$$$.

There are lots of places in Philly that host weddings in your price range. I'm getting married at Farmicia next March, and we're coming in under 10k for 100 people. That's ceremony, food (including hors d'oeurves), and alcohol. And we have the entire restaurant from 5pm to whenever people leave. No rental fee. They have that woodsy vibe that you are looking for, too, only in the city. They have a big barn door right in the dining room. So charming! They also use local and organic stuff whenever possible. I can't vouch for them enough! :)

Good luck, and stay calm!

We went to a beautiful outdoor wedding at Morris Arboretum a few years ago. The cocktail reception was outside as well, and then they had a tent for dinner and dancing.

This might be too far east (as in, it's in New Jersey -- but it's just over the river from New Hope, I swear!) but we had our wedding at Prallsville Mill in Stockton NJ and it was a great experience. Beautiful site in a state park on a stream, great staff, suggested caterers were great, and the site was fairly cheap.

Skylands Manor, Ringwood, NJ may be worth a phone call.
