Always check you bring your tent frame. Twice.

Where can you buy a tent in Tuscany, Italy? Friends on holiday over there are in need of one.

So, they forgot to pack the tent frame (how stupid is that, but hey) before setting out on a 2-day journey from the Netherlands to Livorno, Italy (near Pisa).

They are spending the night in a very small tent they managed to buy somewhere along the way, but their stuff is all outside now, and they kind of need a proper tent tomorrow. I guess a large dome tent or similar thing would suffice.

Now, it's very hard to find anything via Google. I basically only ended up with this one, Luma. It appears to be a local Fendt dealer, but on StreetView it looks a bit iffy.

So, any local knowledge? I'm pretty sure there should be someone selling tents, somewhere. Firenze/Florence is a big city, right?

Best answer: Can't make out from your question where in Tuscany your friends are, anyway
- in Florence: close to the train station, in *Via dell'Ariento* (the crowded street along the covered market) there's a place that sells all sorts of camping equipment. Personally recommended.

If they're in Livorno, I got these from the phone directory:

Punto Camping
57121 Livorno (LI) - 635, v. Prov. Pisana
tel: 0586 410066
(on the northern outskirts of the city)

Other possible solution, the COOP supermarket in the mall right behind the train station, here, probably has camping equipment and is open on sun.

Response by poster: Thank you. Just sent them the details for Punto, seems a good starting point.

We've also sent an email to campingshop.it, an internet-only seller that appears to be nearby.
