Looking for a Hiphop song on one of the radio stations in Grand Theft Auto:Vice (i thought)
I've searched the top 100 lists and also searched the lists of the songs in vice city, and i STILL can't find it! i was sure it was in the game...anyway, this is what i have to go on-
It's from the 80's, and i remember it had a line that went something like this in the chorus-
"don't test me, 'cause i'm....(something).....and i'm tryin' hard, not to lose my cool"
it's a black guy rapping, very choppy rhythm to the lyrics, and i seem to recall the video being him standing in various points in the ghetto wearing a snazzy leather jacket, with these huge arm cuffs that ran from his wrists to his elbows covered in silver studs.
searched the lyric engines to no avail.
please help! it's been bothering me forever.

I think you are looking for The Message from Grandmaster Flash - "Don't push me cause I'm close to the edge"...

Balonious Assault for the win.
Surely that comment of yours is the best answer, though. Ha.
FWIW, The Message is indeed in GTA:Vice City, on the Wildstyle Pirate Radio station. Man, the GTA games have the best music in them.

Don't they? I still get some of the old GTA III songs stuck in my head sometimes. They're getting overwhelmingly large now, but I think pound for pound, GTA is the best game around, and certainly the best soundtrack.

Flashback was a great station (loved "Rush Rush"), but I think I kept the dial on Head Radio:
Dil-Don't - "Stripe Summer"
Whatever - "Good Thing"
Craig Gray - "Fade Away"
Conor & Jay - "Change"
Frankie Fame - "See Through You"
Scatwerk - "Electronic Go Go"
Dezma - "Life Is But A Mere Supply"
Incidentally, I was watching a bad eighties movie, and one of the Flashback songs actually was part of the soundtrack. I can't remember which movie--maybe Wargames, or Night of the Comet or something.
i definitely get GTA III songs stuck in my head too, especially the russian station songs!!
I think you're thinking of GTA IV--but that's my favorite station, too--Vladivostok FM.
