How come I don't see Google's new Rich Text Signature feature available on my Google Apps account...but is available on my regular Gmail account?

I read on both the Gmail blog and the Google Apps Blog that their most requested feature, "Rich Text Signature" is now available for both. I see it when I go into Settings on Gmail but it is not available when I go to the same screen in my Google Apps account which I pay $50 a year for. By the way, I've logged out, logged back in and tried from different browsers from my Mac....Firefox, Safari and Chrome and still nothing. What gives?

I see it on my GA4D setup. You should note that sometimes Google rolls out new functionality in waves so you should check back later today or on the weekend. I'd say if you don't see it by the end of the weekend, consider dropping a note in their support forums.

Somewhere in settings there's a labs or beta features button that allows you to enable some lab features on your account.

Make sure these are turned on.

Best answer: Two things to check in the domain administration part:
  • Service Settings > Email Settings > Gmail Labs > Enable
  • Domain Settings > New Services and Pre-release Features > Enable Both
If those are set correctly and you still don't have the feature you're looking for then you'll just have to wait. Google tests a lot of their features on their non-Apps system before they roll it out to Apps users. We've been using Apps for a couple years now at work and that has always been the case. What I'd really like to see is the integration of Google Apps and Google Maps... people at work are clamoring for it.

Oh one more thing....As Gainesvillain says, Google is slower to role out changes to Apps users and this is true, but what is especially true is that they are even slower to role out changes to the people that are paying for their GA4D which apparently you are.

Response by poster: Thanks for the help. Those two settings in the domain admin were not checked off. I check them and saved but I still don't have the signature feature. I will probably come in the next wave. But thanks Gainesvillain & bitdamaged for the heads up on the settings.

I've noticed that it's not the new rich-text editor isn't there when I'm using Chrome, and is in IE or FF.

Which is kind of funny, but there you have it.
