Are there any good alternatives to AirMagnet Survey PRO for outdoor site surveying with GPS integration?

It looks like there is no real competition right now.

Bonus: What type of (AirMagnet) laptop adapter is required to support GPS? Or is this a seperate module?

Most WiFi survey tools like NetStumbler use a GPS receiver separate from the WiFi interface.

You can get USB, Bluetooth and serial port GPS receivers. (Personally I prefer USB as it supplies power)

Your basic GPS receiver spurts out NMEA 0183 serial data from the moment it's turned on; software just has to open the serial port and read it in. USB and bluetooth receivers appear as a serial-port-over-USB or a serial-port-over-bluetooth.

I've never used AirMagnet Survey PRO, but if it's like most software I've used, that's how it will interface with the GPS.

(you might want to put something in there about wi-fi, as I was part way through a reply involving Trimble GeoXH and other surveyor's tools.)
