How do I open this light fixture?

How do I change the lightbulb inside this light fixture? It has no obvious fasteners or screws. I tried twisting it, but it's not really budging in a reassuring way. I'm staying at a rented beach house, and I am extremely leery of using undue force.

Please help! It's in the bathroom, and my kids don't like to poop in the dark.

Are you twisting the glass or the fixture itself?

Best answer: We have this style. It's just the glass you want to twist. Righty tighty, lefty loosy.

Or try pressing up on the glass part.

Or try turning counter-clockwise, which was the solution in this similar question.

Response by poster: ThatCanadianGirl had the right answer and gave me enough courage to twist a little harder, which worked.

Crazy twist at the end: the light bulb was fine, a breaker had tripped!

Thanks, all.
