Wanted: A Philly Hideaway

I'm looking for a one-week living situation in Philadelphia starting on Monday. Any creative and/or money-saving ideas welcome!

I've looked for short-term sublets on Craigslist, but so far, nothing has worked out. Here are the requirements:

1) private (no shares)
2) in a reasonably cool neighborhood (Center City, Fishtown/NoLibs, U City, etc.) OR
3) a neat, secluded place outside of the city
4) hopefully significantly less than $100/night and more interesting than the Best Western (though it may come down to that)

I'm open to hotels, b&b's, sublets, whatever. Anyone have any good ideas or tips on places they've stayed before? I live in Philly, so I'm familiar with the city, etc.

Response by poster: p.s. Ideally, it would be small dog-friendly.

Best answer: I know basically nothing about Philadelphia, but I recently gave airbnb a try (elsewhere). I ended up in an awesome apartment in a cool neighborhood for an entirely reasonable price.

It doesn't give you the option on the main page, but after you search by location you can filter out the shares. Looks like there are a few possibilities in Philly. The dog might be a problem, though.

Priceline, you can get a three star hotel for about $60/night.

Response by poster: Airbnb looks great! Plus I got a memail from someone who has a place in Philly to sublet. Haven't had much luck on Priceline this time, but thanks!
