I need international Fanta!!

I absolutely LOVE Fanta soda, especially the orange flavor.

Internet research tells me that the list of flavors made around the world is nearly endless. Problem is, here in the US we are limited to the basic Orange, Grape and the occasional Berry flavor. So, any ideas on where or how I can get some of the more interesting varieties?

In San Francisco, there's a shop that specializes in imported British foods like cookies and candy - the sort of comfort stuff that would be in any Sainsbury's.

British Grocery
726 15th Street
San Francisco, CA 94103-4802
(415) 552-4399

I'd try them and also look for a similar kind of store in whatever city is closest to you.

Best answer: Try this previous askmefi post for ideas, though it's from 2006 so I'm not sure how relevant the answers will be.

If you just want to sample as many flavors as possible, World of Coca Cola in Atlanta has something like 50 international flavors of their products available at the end of the tour.

Well, this depends a lot on where in the US you live. If you're in southern California or near New York City, you have a world of import goods available. I had a post on a related topic. Pops would likely have at least a few different versions of Fanta if you're within reasonable distance of central Oklahoma.

If you're flexible and want fruit sodas similarly sweet, consider Jarritos. Any place with a sizable Hispanic population will have groceries or convenience stores that carry this stuff and usually in a wide enough variety to rival any overseas Fanta lineup.

So, really, it depends a lot on where you live, how specific you are about the soda, and whether you want to pick it up yourself or pay extra for delivery. Any extra details would help out.

if you are near a japanese/asian grocery, they sometimes carry the flavors that are sold in japan. i loved the white peach flavor when i was in tokyo, and was thrilled to find it in the supermarket a few miles from my job.

They don't actually sell *Fanta*, but Galco's has a really big selection of international soda with many interesting flavors for you to try.

Here in Oz we have lime as well as orange. I recently had a bottle of either passionfruit or pineapple Fanta but I have a feeling it was a short-term promo thing.

Maybe you could go to Metatalk and start something like this, but with bubbles!

It seems Fanta may be too mundane for them, but it might be worth having a look here.

Best answer: Coke is testing a new fountain dispenser called Freestyle that mixes 100 soda varieties on the spot, including several Fanta flavors. You might be near a test market.

Don't forget to try your favorite American flavors in other countries, as well. I always hated orange Fanta here in the states because I thought it was too sweet and artificially orange-y. When I tried in in Rome, I was captivated by the fact that it was pretty much like carbonated orange juice. It was magical.

Also, check grocery stores catering to Hispanics, the ones near me carry pineapple, lemon and strawberry Fanta.

Seconding this advice. I get Pineapple Fanta at a CVS in a Hispanic neighborhood.

Yeah, I'd say any international grocery is a good bet for unusual soda flavors. And this may or may not matter to you, but one thing I like about those international sodas is that they're often made with sugar instead of corn syrup.

Most of the grocery stores near me (Chicago area) carry Pineapple and Strawberry Fanta, as well as the Orange and Grape flavors.

You can get Fanta Apple in some places, at least in Texas. If you live in an area with a Hispanic population, look for Manzana Sol. It tastes the same.
