Converting .PDF image to .JPG?

I need to convert a number of .PDF image files to .JPG. Any suggestions (software or otherwise, Windows) appreciated.
ImageMagick does this too. See here. This is for thumbnails, but should be adaptable to the entire thing (remove the [0] I think).

I've done this with GIMP. You can open the pdf within GIMP and it will give you the option to choose which pages you want to convert, the size, resolution, and whether to open them as layers or as individual images. It will then import the pdf pages as images that you'll need to save as jpegs.

Best answer: You can do this very simply and easily using the website zamzar.com. Easy peasy!

pdfimages, part of the Xpdf suite, will extract all images embedded in a PDF. With the right option, it will extract JPEGs intact.

Do it the "traditional way":
1. open a PDF file with Acrobat
2. make a screen shot (with the PrintScreen key)
3. open Paint
4. paste the screen shot
5. save as JPEG
6. rince, repeat.
(no kidding: that's what most people would do)

If you have the professional version of Adobe Acrobat, it will allow you to save as a jpeg.

p.s. the screen shot method is low resolution; depending on your purpose, you probably want a software resave option instead

Response by poster: Thanks for all the suggestions. Don't know what I'll eventually end up using, but it's nice to have a choice.
