Got my drill ready but no clue where to aim...

AC Installation question - So I recently purchased this support bracket. The problem is the accompanying instructions and images therein are not so helpful.

Please excuse my complete ignorance when describing this- I've got what I think is a pretty average window setup, and as such I'm having a hard time figuring out where to drill the two holes to secure the one end of this bracket into the frame. If my window was closed, would the holes be inside my room on the "lip"? Or would they be where the screen comes down? Where the glass window partition comes down?

Best answer: The manufacturer's website has some install information.

Best answer: Had one of these for a casement window AC in an old apt. In my case, the holes ended up inside the window (on the sill itself) - It may help to test fit the AC unit to the window (noting how it sits on the window), then take the unit out, turn it on its side, and see how the bracket fits against the bottom of the AC. I'd then verify you can get the outer "foot" to sit against the outside wall with the placement you've roughly figured out previously, and tweak as needed.

On preview, msbutah's link seems to mirror my experience.

Response by poster: Oddly enough those instructions on their site are light years better than the packaged ones. I googled around and found some home improvement sites but none linking back to the manufacturer or on par with that. Doh. Thanks all!
