I Want My Hot Potatoes to Taste Like I Make 'Em

Hot Potatoes is great, enabling you to create various kinds of exercise for teaching websites. But it seems to be limited in terms of customization, and retains that ol' HP look. Can anyone out there recommend anything similar (free or not) with greater capabilities for adaptation to your own site's appearance?

I don't know if this might be a bit too much but I believe Moodle offers this sort of functionality and more.

Perhaps using Google docs? Disclaimer: I have never designed an online quiz of that type.

Seconding Moodle. It meshes in with Google docs pretty well too.

Response by poster: Thanks, all. I'm aware that Moodle is the standard. The only problem from where I'm standing is that it looks unbelievably complicated and seems to require some coding abilities :-(
