I need to email a file that is too big for Gmail. Can you recommend a way to send it?

Googling has brought up a lot of dubious looking websites/services that will send big files. I'd love a recommendation - the file is 30MB. Thanks!

I actually just send big files over Trillian, via AIM. I just zip them and use the "send file" feature. It takes like 20 minutes to send a 50 MB file, and both people have to be online at the same time, but it works like a charm.

Seconding DropBox, if the person on the receiving end is cool with installing the program on their computer too - ideal if it's someone you plan on sending a lot of big files to. It's a neat thing.

There's no need for the recipient to install anything to receive the file. You just throw it into your Public folder, and then they can download the file from the URL.

JohnnyGunn, with yousendit they will only receive a link to the file that is hosted online, so there should not be any problem with the size.

Cloudapp is new but has some pretty awesome features that I love. Easy upload with shortcuts (or drag and drop).

I very much like drop.io, very simple file sharing service. It just gives you a link to send in email, you can password protect it and a number of other things.
