Can anybody recommend a great GP in Madison, Wisconsin, USA?

I just moved to town, have some chronic issues, and would like to find a good doctor to take care of me. Thanks!

Which insurance do you have? What side of town do you live on?

(Mrs. RBS here) We're on the East side, but don't mind driving across town. We'll likely have Dean.

Best answer: I totally recommend Wildwood Clinic on Cottage Grove Road. They accept Dean. They're not huge like Dean or UW, and thus actually know their patients. I've seen most of the doctors there, over the course of a pregnancy and two children, and have been impressed with all of them. MeMail me if you want specifics. I've also been to the Dean East Clinic, and while it's fine, it's definitely more of the assembly-line style healthcare.

Welcome to Madison!

I've had Dean for 20 years -- through childhood, college and adulthood -- and just last week finally got a clue and went to Wildwood. It was a bit of a weird visit, in that I didn't have any real current concerns and what I did have was well under control with a specialist, but I felt good anyway.

I'm interested to see how this arrangement will work with Dean (though I certainly don't think it'll be a problem), but I'm really glad I went. It certainly felt more like a homey place with people who formed relationships.
