Eco light grant for small business

My boss' small business, an exhibition, spends a lot of money on electricity due to all of the display cabinet's lights. Is there a grant or loan we can get to change over to low power lights? We are in England.

You need to go here, tick 'energy efficiency' and then follow the next steps to find out if any grants apply.

I assume you're talking about replacements for halogen lamps, so here's one thought and one idea. The thought is that having replaced these throughout our home, we found that even the LED ones give a different light, both in terms of intensity and colour balance. You might want to test before you commit, to make sure that energy-efficient lamps don't give you poor lighting for the exhibition. The idea is that you might seek commercial sponsorship to cover the costs, either from a supplier of lamps or some one else.

Have a look at the Energy Saving Trust.
