Please help me identify this old Gibson guitar. What is the model? http://tinyurl.com/2wxccjj

I think you actually have it, World Famous. This link says the 1949-1971 model had the trapezodial inlays. Look inside the f-holes, there should be a stamp with the model number there. I'm thinking the diamond shape on the tailpiece seals the deal on that one.

Cleaned up, it should be a nice guitar.

I looked at a bunch of those photos and the only one that seemed to have that diamond shape on the tail piece was the L-50.
