Are there cotton warm-up pants with ankle zips?
I must have extra sensitive skin--when I wear a typical pair of polyester warm-up pants (e.g., Nike's meant for tennis), I get terribly uncomfortable and itchy everywhere.
So, I'm looking for the same functioning pants in cotton. Need to be relatively lightweight (so heavy sweatpants are out), and have ankle zips, so I can get them off without taking off my sneakers.
Any suggestions appreciated...

Do you think it's the polyester material that irritates your skin, or is it that the polyester traps heat and moisture? Knowing that might help people make better suggestions—I know in my case, it's definitely synthetics' heat- and moisture-trapping properties that bother my skin. (I'll be watching this thread with some interest!)

It's definitely the latter (heat and moisture)--there are a lot of hiking pants that are light and have the ankle zip feature, for example, but they're always made of nylon or something similar, and to me are instantly uncomfortable.

If you find some cotton pants that you like, any tailor or home seamstress can put a zip in the bottom.
