new unwanted blinky thing in skype

This new orange box keeps turning up in my skype window, and it is annoying! I can't find any option to get rid of it forever; have you gotten rid of it? This has only started in the last few days. I have not upgraded Skype (4.0.0.227).
Yeah, the advert is the only orange box I see there. Clicking (X) will only get you a different advert.

Response by poster: Yes, thanks, it's an advertisement, I have used the internet before. The x closes it for about 15 minutes before it comes back. Since I use ad-blockers on fire-fox, and used them 10 years ago on AIM, I thought it not beyond the realm of possibility that there was a way to block the Skype ones.
Some1, I will look into that. I don't use NoScript.

The newest version of Skype (and as far as I remember older ones, too) has an option under Tools > Options > Notifications > Alerts & messages to turn off Promotions. That should help.
Do upgrade Skype nonetheless, your version might not be safe.
