I have free time during the day, and I love to pass it with a good story. Since I can't often make it to the library, I'm looking for stories on the web. I'm familiar with literature.org and classicauthors.net. Are there any other sites MeFiers can recommend?

Ploughshares has a pretty good archive. More poetry than fiction, but what fiction there is, is usually great.

I like this online book site -- it has lots of short stories, including one of my favorite stories ever. (The formatting is weird, so I usually copy and paste into a text editor.)

Everything2.com.

Amidst all the cruft and factoids and weirdness there hides some of the best fiction and non-fiction writing I've found yet, and I read a lot writing on the web. Wander around and you'll find some favorites.
