Private Special Schools in CT

Any recommendations on private schools for children with learning disabilities/social challenges, specifically in CT?

We are researching schools in CT that specialize in education of children with learning disabilities and social challenges. 11 y.o. son is currently in public school and is tanking, despite all team members (school, parents, counselor) working very hard to help him fly right. I've heard of Eagle Hill and want to know if anyone here has any thoughts and/or recommendations on EH or any other schools in Connecticut.
Many thanks!

Mountain Laurel Sudbury School is where I'd like to send my own kids when they get older. It's got the the Summerhill philosophy which suggests that kids will learn best when they are curious.

Some friends say that Winston Prep in Norwalk has changed their son's life. They live in Greenwich, but I don't know why they don't send him to EH.

Take a look at The Forman School (Litchfield). A cousin of mine went there and thrived in their environment.

Interesting tidbit about Forman: "As a graduate of Princeton University, one of John Forman’s contacts was Professor Albert Einstein, who also faced reading challenges of his own as a student. This relationship led to Dr. Einstein joining The Forman School’s Academic Board of Advisors."

Ah, should have read better. My husband applied for a teaching position at the MA location. Didn't get an interview or anything, but he had cursory good thoughts about the school, if that helps.

Response by poster: Thanks for the info, everyone. Sorry I left this one open. Heard great things about Winston Prep and Eagle Hill.
