How to dress with fluctuating waist size.

Fluctuating waist size filter: Ive been a 34 forever but as I get more active and bulk up my waist size is often flirting with a 36. What am I supposed to do besides having two separate pants wardrobes or switching to full jock mode and always wearing elastic waist pants.
I would just move to a 36 and wear a belt if they are feeling loose but I hate having that scrunched up waistline effect. I am actually considering buying this as-seen-on-tv product. This has to be a common problem among athletes (think wrestlers who have to cut weight). What is the trick?
