Statcounter is pretty good. The only downside is that that statistics it provides beyond the daily hit count and return count are based on the last 100 visitors. You need to cough up money for more.

Having said that, one nice feature is that you can have unlimited projects under one account. So i have my homepage as one project and an another site as another.

You really do need to put the counter on every page you have in your site to get the best.

StatCounter stays invisible as well, and is free. Pretty cool. The bloke keeps adding new features.

eXtreme DM is pretty full-featured for a free tracker.

I switched from the wretched sitemeter to Hit-O-Meter and it's been good so far.
