JBoss 5.1 upgrade

Anyone have tips on upgrading JBoss 4.2 to 5.1?

We have an app running well in JBoss AS 4.2 and we'd like to upgrade to 5.1. However, dropping in the ear file in the same deploy spot in the new 5.1 server results in a whole lot of cryptic stack traces and poking around in the dark. The JBoss Wiki is of little help.

Anyone have tips or a pointer to an upgrade guide?

Our release notes for upgrading from JBoss 4 to JBoss 5 say to make sure that you copy over any additional libraries, and to do the server.xml config (if you are using that) manually, and not just copy that file into place.

NOTE - I am not a JBoss developer, I just happen to work for a hosting company that offers JBoss, and took a look at our notes for this type of upgrade.
