Who rents boats for a 20-30 person birthday party on a July Saturday evening?

I want to hold my wife's birthday party, for about 20-30 people, on a boat in Annapolis on a Saturday night in July. I've called many places and their boats are either much too large (yachts) or too small. 3-4 hours with snacks and drinks (I'll cater) and a captain ideally for <= $1500. What company/person should I contact to make this happen?

I think that's everything. If you have any suggestions on who to contact, please post here. Thank you.

have you checked places like chesapeake beach or other local docks, annapolis captains are normally more expensive, but a dock not to far away might be cheaper...

Best answer: I don't know what their private rental rates are like but I took an Annapolis cruise with Schooner Woodwind. They were great, and I know that one of their boats can be hired for private cruises.

As an added bonus, one of their two sailboats is actually the one used in the movie Wedding Crashers when they are all arriving at Christopher Walken's characters house.

FYI, "yacht" does not necessarily denote a ridiculously large boat. For that many people, I'd guess you will need a boat large enough to be called 'yacht.'

haven't lived there in 20+ years but if you check with Bert Jabins or Yachthaven, they should be able to point you to a good selection of boats for hire.
