How To Make It In...

I want to make a video like the intro to "How To Make It In America." [YT] What's the most basic Mac app I can use? Thanks, MF!
iMovie is the most basic in terms of editing, but really this involves more than just a good app. To get the same look and feel you'll need a decent camera as well.

Response by poster: Ok... disappointing turnout. For future reference:
- I used iMovie to put together a much simpler slideshow-only video (as opposed to the video in-question's mixed slow-mo and slideshow) and it was decent. However, given the nature of the synchronization between song and footage, and given iMovie's minimalist approach to controlling the duration of slideshow frames, I need something MUCH more comprehensive. I've turned to FCE, and I'll see how it works.
- nitsuj was right about the camera, though.

Response by poster: The result, with FCE.
Exactly what I wanted.

If you mean entry level, than iMovie would work great. Can't speak to cheap and freely available, as I use iMovie which works great. It's easy for the novice and powerful enough for the skilled.
