New Samsung Moment phone -- How do I get the number of emails I have to refresh?

I have a brandnew Samsung Moment -- my first smartphone -- and I'm struggling to get it set up. I was able to connect my email accounts (one gmail account and 2 AOL accounts) and I see them in my list of possible email accounts on the phone. The number of emails waiting appears to the right of each account and I can't get that number to show the current data, but rather it seems "stuck" at the number of emails I had when I synched the account. How do I get that number to change to reflect the current data of each account?

I'm sure there's an easy answer to this, but I've searched my booklets and different forums on the internet and I think I'm in such information overload, I'm just overlooking it. Can anyone help?

Best answer: Go here:

http://forum.androidcentral.com/samsung-moment/

and become familiar with the questions already answered there. If that doesn't do it, post your question there.

Note that your phone, running Android, may share features with many other Android phones, perhaps other Samsung phones.
